Charlotte Flair
Ashley Elizabeth Fliehr (born April 5, 1986) is an American professional wrestler, author and actress. She is currently signed to WWE, where she performs on the NXT brand under the ring name Charlotte Flair where she is the current NXT Women's Champion in her second reign. A second generation professional wrestler, she is the daughter of Ric Flair.
In 2012, Fliehr began training with WWE, debuting in its developmental brand NXT in 2013. In 2014, she won the NXT Women's Championship and was named Rookie of the Year by Pro Wrestling Illustrated (PWI). Flair was promoted to WWE's main roster in 2015, going on to hold the Divas Championship once, being its final holder, the Raw Women's Championship four times, of which she was the inaugural holder, and the SmackDown Women's Championship five times, which is the record for that title, making her a record 12-time women's champion; WWE, however, only recognize her as an 11-time champion as her first NXT title win was when NXT was still a developmental territory. Flair also won the 2020 Women's Royal Rumble match.
In 2016, PWI readers voted Flair both Woman of the Year and that year's world's top female professional wrestler.[16] Flair became the first woman to headline a WWE pay-per-view event in October 2016 (alongside Sasha Banks)[17] and one of three women to headline WrestleMania, WWE's flagship annual event, in April 2019 (alongside Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey).
